Inhuman...a barcoded lime

How has the enemy managed to have an inhuman barcode on every lime that I buy?  I have been growing my own limes on potted lime trees.  They are much more flavorful and juicy than the store bought frankenfood.  I also learned that a green lime is an unripe lime.  They turn yellow on the tree when ripe.  This is similar to when I learned that all green peppers are unripe.  A ripe pepper will turn to red, orange, or yellow when ripe.
