I sat at an adjacent table to Paul Simon in New Orleans decades ago at Cafe du Monde.
He is 5'2".

I had been sending donations to Ensemble Ptashitsa in Russia for many years. After each of their Youtube livestreams, I would send 20 dollars or so. I always received an email of gratitude from Ivan, the leader of the group. When the Russia Ukraine event started, I got my Paypal account locked and my bank account was locked as well. I was able to get my bank accounts back, but to this day cannot link Paypal to my bank account. I could no longer send donations. Ivan released a statement about not getting deceived by stories in newspapers on Ukraine and Russia, used to divide us. It was a brave statement inferring media fakery. There were ALWAYS many Ukrainians in the livestream chats of Ptashitsa. These illusions of borders and countries could not be clearer. Looks like he did that one for the money...the dollar thrown on stage..lol. It's amazing some of these ole timers can still play. I guess if they are able to make a public performance, why not.
ReplyDeleteI know I bang on about this alot, but my model is that it has nothing to do with money. THEY are harvesting emotion and attention. These songs have our emotions attached to them. ChalkbodyOutline recently did a livestream highlighting the inexplicable artists performing into old age. "Death" is the only way out of their bargain. Ozzy "died" shortly after his last concert. I am 20 years younger than Simon and I dread leaving my house. Thanks for your comment. best regards, db
DeleteI don't think Ozzy died, I think his agency retired him out of the public mindset. Same with Hulk Hogan and many other celebs...they are given another way out besides death. I have an open mind and take everyone's model into consideration. Do you have a link to that chalkbodyoutline stream?
