Digital Ouija Boards?

In the past, I have often observed the similarity of Ouija boards with Smartphones/computers

From GLP...

**Similar jobs (Ouija board vs smartphone)**

- Both are **handheld/table boards** you look down at and use with your fingers.
- Both turn **letters and numbers** into messages.
- Both answer **yes / no** and open-ended questions.
- Both are treated as a **channel to someone who isn’t in the room**.
- Both use a **moving pointer** (planchette vs cursor/finger).
- Both can deliver **text that feels like it came from elsewhere**.
- Both work in a small group or alone, often at night.
- Both invite **trust in an unseen source** (spirit vs network/algorithm).
- Both can **spell words one character at a time** (planchette vs keyboard).
- Both are easy to **put away** and still feel like they left a message behind.
