Reinterpreting Memory and the Practice of Ongoing Self Construction - Michael Levin courtesy Alison McDowell
FASCINATING clip...highly recommended
I think this explains why so many of us butterflies are no longer related to as caterpillars. Although we are the same physical body, our spirit, our being, and beliefs have changed so radically that others can no longer expect us to be as we were in the past.
I remember my Dad and colleagues could not understand when I lost my interest in the NFL and Steelers. I was changed and it was difficult for them to accept the butterfly.
This also reinforces my practice of daily journalling. Re-reading my journals from decades ago is beyond enlightening.
