Meeting Count Basie ...back in the 1970's

My Dad loved jazz.  One of the first concerts he took me to was Count Basie and his Orchestra.  Before the concert, my Dad took me to the stage door.  He had me get all the band members to autograph my program.  Count Basie came to greet us, wearing a white wife beater T-shirt.  Butch Miles on drums was incredible. The whole band was so nice to me. Count Basie's understated style is still of great appeal to me. 

 One of my wonderful early memories. Thanks to my Dad's interest in jazz, I was fortunate to have seen and met Benny Goodman and Dizzy Gillespie as well.

  I propose that none of the pop musicians, actors, celebrities, government officials are what they present as. The kabuki theatre of Joe Rogan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Peter Frampton, and Barry Manilow is an example of how their hive harvests attention from manKIND. Where did Peter Frampton even come from? I had been sending donations to Ensemble Ptashitsa in Russia for many years.  After each of their Youtube livestreams, I would send 20 dollars or so.  I always received an email of gratitude from Ivan, the leader of the group.   When the Russia Ukraine event started, I got my Paypal account locked and my bank account was locked as well.  I was able to get my bank accounts back, but to this day cannot link Paypal to my bank account.  I could no longer send donations.  Ivan released a statement about not getting deceived by stories in newspapers on Ukraine and Russia, used to divide us.  It was a brave statement inferring media fakery.  There were ALWAYS many Ukrainians in the livestream chats of Ptashitsa.  These illusions of borders and countries could not be clearer.   A year after my donations stopped due to this "war",  I received a Ptashitsa calendar in the mail from Ivan, signed by the group.  He said thanks for ...
