Yesterday was a particularly demoralizing gardening day. A groundhog devastated about one third of my garden.  It is amazing the amount of damage one groundhog can do in a few hours.  I thought I found its hole and had a trap for it the day before. I had half a dozen giant cabbages that I grew from seed starting in March...all gone in a few hours. All my carrots and broccoli gone.  Now for the good news...I checked the trap this morning and the critter was kaput. No jail, no parole, just justice.  YAY! Also, this is my first year attempting to grow oyster mushrooms in a home depot bucket and I started to get mushrooms fruiting today  YAY!

July 2026 was a new milestone for DBW with over 10,000 views.   I will continue to share my perspective on this place and experience regardless. 

 

 

 I wonder why this channel has so few followers and view counts.  It is also producing a breathtaking volume of content.  Is this channel a personal response to me and my model of this place as a simulation?
