I had been sending donations to Ensemble Ptashitsa in Russia for many years. After each of their Youtube livestreams, I would send 20 dollars or so. I always received an email of gratitude from Ivan, the leader of the group. When the Russia Ukraine event started, I got my Paypal account locked and my bank account was locked as well. I was able to get my bank accounts back, but to this day cannot link Paypal to my bank account. I could no longer send donations. Ivan released a statement about not getting deceived by stories in newspapers on Ukraine and Russia, used to divide us. It was a brave statement inferring media fakery. There were ALWAYS many Ukrainians in the livestream chats of Ptashitsa. These illusions of borders and countries could not be clearer. A year after my donations stopped due to this "war", I received a Ptashitsa calendar in the mail from Ivan, signed by the group. He said thanks for ...
really weird that all these channels are popping up. they usually say created 2016 or earlier but their oldest video is 6 months old. there’s one i came across Erased Centuries i think. so similar. same voice, topics, imagery…all recent.
ReplyDeletei enjoyed this video db. just don’t trust whatever this bombardment of truther/conspiracy scripts is. i’m sure you’ve noticed as well!
?
(also i was pleasantly surprised on a recent vacation to hilton head that every bar/restaurant had real music going on. i don’t go out much either, so was taken back by the sound of a real voice. (lots of one man band type performers with looping pedals to play multiple stringed instruments and
sing, which i can deal with…as long as they play it live to plug it in to their looper, they may use it…and they were:)

Hey Brian...nice to hear from you. You are correct to remain skeptical of these videos..anything on a screen. We really don't know the origin of the video, the creator, etc.
DeleteHappy to hear about the live music. It is the ever present screens now even at small mom and pop shops that I can't take
.
I remember in the 2000's in China, people would sit at round tables and talk. I used to spend hours with elderly Chinese with an English Chinese dictionary. It was as charming experience. On my later trips there, everything had changed. Screens were everywhere and people were entrained to the screens. All in the course of my lifetime, change had been achieved to an unthinkable extent.
Thanks again for your comment, Brian....best regards, db
