Reality...forced engagement.

I rarely leave my house.  I made my daily trip out to the post office on Monday....not even 5 miles.  Half way there, I saw the check engine light light up on the dash. Now I had to be concerned that I could even drive home to do my work shift.  I made it back and called up to have this  checked at a local dealer on Tuesday.   I took my car there and was told within 5 minutes that they had locked my keys in my car.  The dealer owner then had to pry around the window to access the door lock Fortunately, they did not damage the car door.

FOUR HOURS later, I was told that it required a part that may or may not fix the problem.  They could have it ordered and I would have to come back tomorrow.  I took the car in today and 1000 dollars and THREE HOURS later, I was able to drive home.

My model is that this reality has access to you at some points in your day to day life.  Once it is able to push your buttons, it piles on, attempting to get an emotional rise out of you.  This is why I limit my engagement with the reality.

  1. Oh db! I’m sorry that happened to you! It’s so annoying! It’s like the saying goes, when I rains, it pours! Well hopefully tomorrow will be a better day! Xoxo! Florida flamingo!

  2. I have been travelling around in my 2002 Ford F150 for the past 9 years with the check engine light on. Took it in three times to various shops who just interpreted the programmed codes, used a look up table to see what it might be, replaced spark plugs, replaced sensors, no change. So it just stays on.
