The trauma done by MOVIES....
I have said this before and I will say it again. If I could unwatch ALL of the movies that I have seen in my life, I would. I cut them out of my life well over a decade ago. The rapes, murders, overall violence in these films is calculated and overwhelming. There is no way that this cannot have a negative effect on human civilization.
The below list is literally the tip of the iceberg. Few have experienced rape, murder or extreme violence in person. Yet, nearly everyone has virtually experienced this through movies. What good parent would want their child exposed to this?
A nonhuman entity.
Given the pervasive exposure and indoctrination to violence that manKIND has been attacked with for decades, it is surprising to me that there is not MORE explicit violent behaviour in publie.
Tom and Jerry
Heckle and Jeckle
Roadrunner and Coyote
Bugs Bunny Daffy Duck
Three Stooges

I think people live out their victimizer or victim status thru these movies, giving them some sort of stress release. Same in Japan with all the weird sex movies, yet zero or low reported rapes and sexual assaults. However I'm sure there is a small percentage of people that become motivated and then do things in real life after watching these types of movies.
ReplyDeleteMy point is that ALL movies are a false reality that we live through virtually if we watch. Movies are an odd accepted part of "culture" that we have been incestuously indoctrinated into. The movies are full of false narratives, violence, murder, and conflict. They present artificial archetypes of marriage, relationships, and so-called love. The movies are tools of indoctrination...not entertainment. Once you see them for what they are, it is a no-brainer to remove yourself from their influence. I see it now, but did not see it then. Thanks for your comment, best regards, db
DeleteI haven't watched TV for 20 years and haven't seen a commercial film in 10 years, but I've watched a lot of videos on YouTube, Bitchute and Fakeotube, mainly for educational purposes and to challenge myself but sometimes just for entertainment.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger though I consumed alot of TV and different movies with friends - horror, crime, thrillers etc (all of the listed above) I was anxious, had nightmares and because of this I tried meditation and reading self-help books to try calm myself. I read that watching TV can be a huge source of stress with all its negative impressions - so for better mental health and hygiene it was recommended to stop watching TV as much as possible, so I got rid of the set and haven't had one since.
In high school I took a media course where one of the teachers taught about critical thinking and the importance of examining the sender of the information, which many years later led me to start questioning the different narratives of newspapers and the media. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the information was not only depressing but actually also illogical and lying – it was designed to cause this effect (fear, confusion, anxiety)
Hi Henrik...I very much appreciate your observations and contributions so that all can listen to your history and analysis. My earliest memories were those of terror related to television. I shrieked in horror in observation of Dark Shadows, Kraft Suspense Theatre, and Mitch Miller's silhouette all on the screen. My parents struggled to understand why I was terrified by the screen. My Dad sat with me and laughed at the screen, trying to desensitize me to the screens. I appreciated his efforts, though they were unsuccessful. My essence was sensitive to the demonic spirits channeling to me via the screens. I will never forget this...from age 5 to 8. I was very impressionable, yet sensitive to the energies of this place. Thanks for your comment, best, db.
