FLOCK - Rise of a Surveillance State Upper Echelon

Let's celebrate our freedom on July 4 which is my least favorite holiday....

and that is really saying something.

Let's list our freedoms

I cannot travel without license and registration for my car.

I have worked over 50 years to pay for my house.  The government will confiscate it if I do not pay property tax.

I cannot travel without a passport/papers.

The government confiscates half of my wages with income tax.

The government has cameras on the streets to monitor my activities.

The government threatens me for not filling out a census.

The government taxes me for my dog and requires vaccination and license.

The government taxes me on my 25 year old car.

I cannot fish or hunt without tax and license from the government.

I cannot park at a "state run" beach without license or fee.

NASA

I cannot take a flight without taking my shoes and belt off.

I cannot take a flight without being groped or scanned by government.

Department of Homeland Security

I must pay government a fee because I choose not to have health insurance.

  1. one of my biggest realizations happened when i was charged with criminal trespassing for skateboarding at my old jr high when i was sixteen. there were 4 of us. one of my friends parents encouraged us that “nows your chance” to speak up to the judge. long story short i thought i made a very good case that football players at this same jr high get hurt all the time and never sue…as that was always their go to for why we can’t skate…we’ll get hurt, our parents will sue. nobody has ever sued my city ever for getting hurt on a skateboard. but i digress. my 16 year old brilliant arguement got me a few extra months of community service. only me. same “crime”, but i spoke.

*that was the only time i’ve ever been arrested.
dumb shit for years after our skating days wained never got us in trouble.
but independent, self determination, and concurring your fears and progressing on a piece of wood was always highly suspect, many runnins with badges.
    to add to your list-
dogs are usually prohibited at trails and parks i enjoy, it can be empty and some ranger will always ask me if i saw the sign and kick us out.
same goes for swimming. theres one cesspool us commoners may cool off in. sorry for the rant. those are the two that most effect me currently.

    1. Thanks Brian....I got pulled over by a Penna. state trooper for going through a yield sign years ago. He wanted me to sign the ticket and I wouldn't. He came back with a second ticket for reckless driving. He said I could challenge the tickets if I want. I said I did, but I live out of state. He said he could arrange a hearing for me. He had me follow him to a small jailhouse and asked me how much money I had on me. I made my case to the judge and the judge says I believe the trooper, not you. Fortunately, I had enough money on me to pay the tickets and the court fee. They wanted to put me in jail so badly. Thanks for your comment, Brian...best, db

    2. wow. i believe it!
that reminds me, a few summers ago i got pulled over for speeding. i was, 80 in a 60, construction. the trooper sees my son in the front seat with the top half of his seatbelt behind him, so he only had the lap belt on (he had just reached back to get a drink from the back seat). 45 mins spent trying to find my son (out of state temporary license) in his system. i didnt get a ticket for speeding. my 16 year old son got a ticket and court appearence for the seatbelt. they’d rather him be in their system than the hefty fine they could have given me.

    3. I have had so many corrupt police interactions in my life. I believe people are supportive of police out of fear and trauma. Thanks for your comment, best, db
