2 of my faves from my past life, Nick Lowe and Daryl Hall.
Of all of the celebrities that I have met, these were 2 of the nicest. Nick Lowe must have signed 20 LPs and CDs for me after a show at the Paradise. Daryl Hall, on a backstreet outside of the Orpheum, in Boston had his driver stop, lowered the window and signed the Hall and Oates setlist for me.

When I met Jimmy Carter as President at a rally, we shook hands and I asked him to sign an inauguration invitation that I had. He told me, "They won't let me." And a Secret Service agent ripped my item out of my hands and tossed it 20 feet away. Fortunately, I was able to get it back and got my congressman to get it signed for me.
When I approached Moshe Dayan, his bodyguards surrounded me and him and took us into the college where he was speaking. He then signed for me....but harrowing for a young teenager.
Jerry Lee Lewis was one of my idols in my prior life as well. I trekked North of Boston and took a day off from work to meet the killer. Showed up 2-3 hours before the show. Only me and one other guy there. The limo pulls up and the killer comes out. We asked him to sign and he said he couldn't because hundreds of people might show up. He said he will shake hands but that's it. He said he would sign for us after the show and he's a man of his word.
Of course after the show, there literally were hundreds of people wanting to meet him. Me and the other guy said....Jerry, you said you're a man of your word. He said "That was then and this is now." We just kept saying "Man of your word." He then sent one of his bodyguards to get LPs from only me and the other guy who were there earlier. We watched as he signed only those 2 autographs inside his limo that evening. Another wild story
