Civil War Absurdities and Reality Breakdowns (We find MORE new stuff that makes no sense!) QOC
I very much agree with QOC that this is another narrative that is unbelievable. He doesn't even really address the logistics of providing food, water, medicine to such large numbers of people. I also find it very difficult to believe that someone from their home in the "South" would trek thousands of miles on foot from home to do battle with the "North."
I'm a believer that all wars are staged, there's too much money to be made for them not to be. The political term "theater of war" sums it up for me.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, but I think this one was completely fabricated to cover up a different event. Best regards, db
DeleteIt was interesting to a degree, but he makes a simple mistake that ruined it for me before 8 mins were up. He does the calculation of casualties based on waki numbers, sure, but includes the 18,000 not engaged to reach his 1% fatality rate, which is just lazy; it would be 2.7% for Union and 2.1% for Confederate if the "unengaged" are not counted, which they should not be. This is not advanced calculus. MM does this often too, and it leaves a stench of laziness or ignorance. For sure the whole ACW story was manufactured, but at least do an honest analysis. There is a lot of good ACW content on stolenhistory DOT net which goes deeper than this, without the 45 min time investment. cheers
