Were the World Fair Photos of Models? Howdie Mickoski
IF this thesis is true, how do they explain the Field Museum which still stands in Chicago?

My great great grandfather went to the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. I’m looking at the photos he bought while he was there. They don’t look like miniature models to me. Why would someone buy photos of miniature models? Makes no sense.
I have an official guidebook for the 1893 Chicago World's Fair and in it there is a section on the construction materials for the buildings. It says "For the lower portions of the walls the material is mixed with cement, which makes it hard." So, just in case you were at the fair and wondering why when you touched the buildings they seemed like real, solid buildings, now you know it's because just the lower portions were mixed with cement. Or was the whole structure made of cement and they just wanted fair goers to believe that just lower portions were made of staff "mixed" with cement to square up the unbelievable construction. Seems more like deception at play to me.
