J.S. Bach, Genius or medium?
I have been listening to alot of Bach as of late. Each piece is a wonder of creation, they seem almost impossible to have been created by a human being.
Bach is said to have written 1080 pieces of music. OVER ONE THOUSAND ORIGINAL COMPOSITIONS of incredible complexity.
His story also includes that both his parents died and he was an orphan at age 10.
As a lifelong musician, it is beyond my comprehension to write one of these pieces, let alone over 1000.
Was he channeling these compositions from a higher realm?
An orchestra typically has 50-100 pieces.
How did these gentlemen write these complex concertos and symphonies for so many instruments that they didn't even play?
Classical music remains a mystery of this realm to me.
